[0.17.5] Unlogical (inconsistant ?) player action range area

I can place or deconstruct a belt or any player created item up to 10 tiles from my postion but I can't chop a tree or mine any rock and ore more than 3 or 4 tiles away from me. Got some screenshot to show this.

Not sure that's a bug but I can't find any information on this. It seems to be here since 0.17.0, haven't try past versions.
I play alone on a MP game.

I hope I am understandable, I'm not confident with my english x) Feel free to ask more details (and correct me).

This is intentional, I asked about it earlier. I think it's just been harder to see in the past, when your placement reach was only 6 tiles - after all, you had to be pretty close to everything.

There is a reason: Mining trees or resources have animation, and the animation looks stupid if you are too far away :)
