Introduction level "Rebuild the factory"

I have problems with the introduction level "Rebuild the factory".
I have to research the "Improved personal equipment". But I´m not able to find any technology with this name. I don´t know what this mean.
I have build all other parts/machines/factory parts of the level, but I miss this last task.
