[SOLVED][0.17.4] Freeze and stuck at "loading mods" (0%) when initiating game

I used to play this game on version 0.16. Yesterday I updated the test version of 0.17.x. At the same time, I removed all mods and archives of my 0.16 version. When I entered the game, I found that the game was freeze at "loading mods" (0%), and I can only close the game by kill the process through the task manager. Actually I just hope the game can run normally

Way I tried:
Reboot. Not work.
Uninstall game and remove "Factorio" folder in userdata, then reinstall the game. Not work.
Upgrade graphics card driver and reboot. Not work.

I didn't have this problem when I was playing version 0.16.x, not even with a lot of mods activated.

Well I just try download 0.17.4 ver Factorio on my friend's PC, and it just work smoothly.... I tried to download it to my C Disk, the endless loading still arrived

I have the exact same thing happen to me. None of the 0.17.x versions launch successfully. Tried from 0.17.0 to 0.17.11.

• Tried re-installing

• Uninstalled and deleted all data folders

• Launching with launch options

0.16 launches successfully.
I have no idea what else I can try.

This is on Windows 10. on my separate mac, 0.17.11 launches without problems.

This happens on steam. I was able to download the game from factorio.com and it runs!

The latest version 0.17.14 launches from steam. This issue has been resolved for me. What about you @hellolgq

Oh I haven't played this game for a while. I updated the game to the latest version after reading your reply. Then it really works perfectly! Enjoy the game! @frischmilch
