After enjoying factorio yesterday without issues I experienced a few random crashes today with 0.17.2 and 0.17.3. Unfortunately I could not reproduce them reliable to give you a precise description of what to do - the only thing I can say is that I was building some oil processing with train unloading, refinery, chem plants etc.
I know this is not much information (would probably close a ticket like this as cannot reproduce ) but maybe the stacktraces are giving you a hint to a potential problem.

Thanks for the report. Based off the stack trace it's saying it crashed trying to allocate a few bytes for a smoke instance - which might mean it ran out of memory.
But, the log shows you have 32 GB so unless you had a lot of other things running (or are using a huge save file) it's probably not that.
Other than that, I don't have any idea what might be causing crashes for you. If you keep crashing please upload those log files as well.

I probably had a few docker containers running but usually they aren't consuming more than 8 GB so there is always plenty of memory available. As I was playing online with a friend the size of the save is preserved in the logs above - sweet little 4.2 MB.

Those are all random places to crash in which makes me think you have hardware issues. I notice you have a Ryzen CPU so it might be the Ryzen CPU bug - try updating your chipset drivers and see if it stops crashing.
