[SOLVED] can't update from [16.51] to [17.2]

i have experimental updates turned on and i got factorio from factorio.com but when i check updates i get nothing for updating to 0.17.2 from 0.16.51

[solution] i just installed 0.17.2 straight from factorio website and kept both version seperate just in case 0.17 has errors i can use 16 until they are fixed

p.s. your way is no solution, you just did separate locations. There must still be a bug preventing update.

The patch notes for 0.17.3 say that they're having issues with the automatic updater and that they recommend using Steam or downloading the full installation from the website.

Hi i am having the same problem.
I downloaded 0.17.0 build 42971 Linux 64 alpha, and now it says that there are no updates.
So do i also need to download the game in full for every new update?
