[0.17.1] Can't place item one by one with RMB in slot with hand icon

If i take a stack of items from main inventory or gun ammo inventory, as expected this slot fills with hand icon. I can place stack from cursor in same slot, but only with LMB. If i try to place few items from stack by RMB, i can't and error message "This slot is reserved for the cursor." appears.

Also if i have 1 full stack and <0.5 of second stack, i can take half of first stack, then items from second stack will be merged with half of first stack, one slot will be emptied, but hand icon not appears and slot can be filled with robots

I don't think this is a bug. If you placed half of your items from the cursor into the hand slot, then bots filled the slot up with other items of the same type, then you wouldn't be able to place your cursor stack back into your inventory.
As for the second part, taking half of a stack doesn't create the hand slot, as the slot isn't empty. Items sort afterwards as normal.
But a better behaviour might be to try to move the rest of the stack to an open slot and then create the hand slot. Well, an ideal solution IMO is to replace the cursor slot with a shortcut like the toolbar but I don't think the devs agree.

I think slot must be blocked for bots even with some items, only cursor operations allowed. Now i can take half of stack by RMB and nothing is blocked and bot also can overload me by same item. Or i can begin craft that item by hand and take some with RMB and it will be also overloaded. Because after RMB items in cursor and rest of stack is different stacks and cursor will be filled up to whole stack first.
I expect: part of stack in cursor and rest of stack in slot must be parts of same stack and must been blocked for NOT cursor operations. But RBM is also cursor operations as LMB. For example in tutorial i want to take all magazines from inventory (150), put back few of them (3-4) and distribute rest to turrets.

If you want to reserve a slot for bots then middle-click an empty slot and reserve it.

Is there any way to pick with cursor 18 of 20 items from slot? In 0.16 i'd pick all 20 items and put back 2, but in 0.17 this not allowed by hand icon.
