Crash on Startup with win 10 but works fine with linux

So my factorio crashes my desktop computer running windows 10 at 38 percent but will run smooth as silk on my laptop that runs linux mint any help would be very helpful because I greatly enjoy the game logged over a grand in game time I'm not sure if it's a bug or corruption of files sense I'm running on 2 different platforms

Hello, can you post here Factorio crash log, please? On Windows, it should be located in %APPDATA%\Factorio\factorio-current.log ... unless you play portable (zip) version in that case factorio-current.log will be created inside the folder with game data and executable.

Hello, I am sorry for very late response.
You computer has lot of memory (both RAM and VRAM) and yet it is failing to allocate memory for even 64 MB texture. Try to update your graphics driver.

Somehow it's even worse, now. It looks as if you didn't have nVidia graphics driver at all and Windows uses software renderer instead.

I don't know if it's related, but two days ago, Windows 7 "gave up" on my (AMD) graphics driver - I couldn't manage to make it work again, even after doing Windows restoration and trying to re-install various versions of the drivers (the very latest resulting in a BSOD !).

I "fixed" the issue by moving to Linux...

So, I wonder if a recent Windows update might be the cause ?
