[0.16.51]i was in my inventory then a black grid shoed up on the screen and i cant move

I dont think this is a bug but i think I just press a wrong key but i dont know what i did. I was in my inventory and for some reason i was holding shift and all the sudden this black grid showed up on the screen and i couldn't move.
i provided a screen shot.

Press shift + space to unpause the game.
