For the energymanagement the charts are really helpfull. With them it is possible to locate a possible shortage before it happens.
Them same would be nice for the stored items. Then it would be easier to preproduce tons of f.e. circuits while they are not so much needed according to the endgame and to have a control of the development of the amount of needed items.
Sometimes you think "Oh, these (thousands) would last forever" and after you set down more machines it works fine because everything is delivered proberly, but after a (way to short) time the big shortage of circuits or plastic or whatever is there. And most likely in plastic, even after having every dot of oil in the whole reachable area be sucked out with speedmodules and bacons which still isn't enough.
