Add support for zooming and navigating Blueprint preview
For larger blueprints, the blueprint preview when hovering the mouse over a blueprint or editing it, can get quite small. This makes removing entities or seeing what is actually going on more difficult.
It would be great if you can zoom (with the mouse wheel) the blueprint and pan it by holding the middle mouse button.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
Some of my blueprints are fairly large...so large that it is so far zoomed out that I cannot the details clearly enough to remove unneeded stuff (such as a multiple stop train station w/ parking, and you get too much of the extraneous crap that you didn't want)
Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
Would be a useful quality of life change, gets my vote.

Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
They could use "tutorial sandbox" to edit blueprints. In tutorial, player enters separate world with all necessary items and buildings, where You can play around. I wish, I can click a button on a blueprint, and "teleport" to such sandbox, where I can walk around blueprinted items, edit it, test it, save it, and exit...

Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
Both ideas are excellent. I do like the idea of a blueprint sandbox especially, so that you can add items to a blueprint without having to place the old blueprint, add your missing item, delete the old blueprint, save the new blueprint and reformat the name and signals of the new blueprint. A lot of unnecessary steps there.
Part of me thinks this could affect speedrun times, but this can already be done in a roundabout way by going in another map to build the blueprint.

Zoom and pan blueprint window preview
TL;DR
Zoom and pan into the bluepring window's preview to make it easier to see what you are clicking for delete, how things are layed outWhat ?
When opening the blueprint edit window the bleuprint is scaled to fit the space. With large blueprints that becomes noise and makes it impossible to make any edits to it easily.Instead add the same mouse controls from map view to the preview area, scroll wheel zooms and let the mouse draw the preview around.
Why ?

Blueprints should be edited in separatd "sandbox" environement - just like tutorials.
You should be able to walk around, edit settings and maybe even test how it work...
Then, zooming and paning is not a problem.

Re: Zoom and pan blueprint window preview
While your on the subject a request for very large blueprints.
As it stands if you have a blueprint that's more than roughly 250+ tiles long that you are trying to place, the edge of the blueprint will be off the edge of the screen no matter where you put the mouse so it's very hard to line up with things.
Would it be possible to have the blueprint placement ghost be relative to it's size and mouse location? As in, if the mouse is in the center of the screen the center of the blueprint ghost will be there. If the Mouse is at the edge of the screen the edge of the blueprint ghost will there there regardless of the size of the blueprint. Currently I'm just chopping blueprints up and placing them in a book, but you can't place a book inside a book so things are getting cluttered.

Ability to zoom in to part of large blueprint
TL;DR
Ability to zoom in to part of large blueprintWhat ?
When large blueprint is shown, add ability to zoom in into part of that bp, so player can remove unwanted parts of bp without need to click that 2x2 pixel square as now ...Why ?
Large blueprints are showin with large zoom factor, so they fit the screen and therefore it is almost impossible to remove some parts of it.Re: I want to make suggestions, but I got links to mods!! :(
OK, which moderator was drunk today?

[Koub] Dunno, unable to find the moderation action in the logs, I split it, gave it a proper title, and made it into its own topic.

Might have as well merged it into the one of the others ;p

Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
So you want zoom and scroll in the blueprint editor window?
Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
First I want a blueprint editor window. Currently it's only a blueprint deletion and title window.
As for editing blueprints in a sandbox check out the Blueprint Lab mod. It goes in the right direction already.

Re: Blueprint Edit - Ability to Zoom In/Out
I wanted to highlight this issue (again!) And ask that this feature is added. The blueprint below is hardly large - a little over 11 or-so train car lengths yet editing it is a pain in the ass and frankly requires a magnifying glass.
This is a regular feature request, please add this big QoL improvement.

+1
Ran into this when I tried to make a large BP and edit out certain things. There was no way I could because everything was way too small.
