Changes to Shotgun?

Before I report this as a bug in version 0.10.0, I figured I would check here first.

Issue: Shotgun has changed from buck shot / spread shot in 0.9.8 to slug / single shot in 0.10.0.

Notes: This severely diminishes the efficacy of the shotgun when clearing forest, managing large waves of creeps early game, or getting medieval on a biter nest.

Question: Can anyone verify if this change was intended? After reviewing the change log and bug forum I see no mention of this.

It was a bug introduced by 0.10.0, it was fixed in 0.10.1

0.10.3 is out.
