Hello
I have been testing this now and 10.3 x64 crashes as soon as you try to start the stream (ie attach OBS).
I have also tested with 10.3 x86 (32bit) and it works fine.
10.3 x64 crashing when using OBS to stream
Re: 10.3 x64 crashing when using OBS to stream
I tried to install the OBS and it worked fine and didn't crash.
Are you sure you have enough ram and vram for the recording?

Re: 10.3 x64 crashing when using OBS to stream
Hey, sorry for late reply.
Yes I have enough ram, I can stream and record games without issue. This crash occurs as soon as you try to start the preview or stream in OBS, at the moment when OBS tries to read the video output from Factorio.
I'm running win 8.1 x64, 16gb ram, I7 4770k cpu and 250gb SSD, gtx 670 graphics.
My test was with streaming to twitch, not recording to disk.
I'm currently on vacation so I have limited access but I can do some more testing on my laptop, I will also try the latest version and see if the problem still persist.
I will post my OBS settings when I have it set up as well.

Which version of OBS are you using 32 bit or 64 bit?Pjar wrote:I have been testing this now and 10.3 x64 crashes as soon as you try to start the stream (ie attach OBS).

I don't know how exactly does OBS works but if it does inject its own code into target application by DLL injection than you would have to use 64 bit version of OBS to record video from any 64 bit software.
