The idea behind this, is, with a mod, you can have a very large inventory. This is handy if you're building your base, but it offers a problem. When ghosting with a very large inventory, this generates a huge amount of lag. This is where this suggestion comes in.
On large inventories, when ghosting is active, automatically turn off the inventory sorting, and vice versa. He's the affect in action. Note the FPS drop.

You fail to mention how many million slots of inventory you have. Large inventories are known to be bad on performance, unlike stack increase mods.

Yeah, you have upwards of 2500 slots in your inventory. This is far into modded territory - and I'd guess that this may be something that's possible to do with mods.
