Is there a cure for Factorio addiction?
I want to make sure I stay away from it
Is there a cure?
Re: Is there a cure?
You might want to start searching now, because when you realize you need it, it will be too late
I'm telling myself to stop playing, and get some other stuff done.. and then I convince myself that what can be done today, can be done tomorrow as well

Make a factory to do your work.

Re: Is there a cure?
Haha if there is, I haven't found yet. The worst part for me is that I think "oh I need to do this in Factorio, will only take 15 minutes or so", like 2 hours later I'm still sitting in the exact same position playing and probably have only blinked like 20 times in those 2 hours.

Factorio is like melange. Addiction to it cannot be cured, and not getting your fix is lethal.

Re: Is there a cure?
I'm not sure what it is about this game that keeps me playing it for hours on end. Other games like Anno, Prison Architect, Tropico I'll start to lose interest after an hour or two. With Factorio once I start a game I can't stop.. there's never a point where I go "well, this part is boring, guess I'll go do something else now." And I've been playing it for nearly two months this way!
Re: Is there a cure?
i think that might be because there is always a problem to solve. The great thing is these new problems normally arise from your solutions to other problems.

I can't seem to shake it. I have had to force myself to stop playing and modding while I organise moving to a new place otherwise I would get nothing done.
