Hi everyone,
I wanted to test factorio on my laptop. I installed it via Steam. But if I start factorio, nothing happens. There are no updates for factorio pending.
My laptop has the following technical data:
- Windows 10, 64 bit
- Intel Core i3-2370M CPU @ 2.4 GHz (4 CPUs)
- 4 GB RAM
- Display memory: 1664 MB
Shouldn't that at least be enough for the minimum requirements? Why could it still be that factorio does not start?
I would be grateful for your help.
Regards
Sargas
Sufficient laptop for factorio?
Re: Sufficient laptop for factorio?
Hello, open Factorio properties in Steam library and set launch options to and try to launch the game again.
That will make the game launch through the command prompt and you should see if the game prints any error to the console.
Note: If "nothing happens" it is too early for the game to use up all resources of your computer, so HW configuration is not the problem.
Code: Select all
cmd /k %command%

Re: Sufficient laptop for factorio?
Thank you. I don't know why but now Factorio runs.
Now I have to find out why the newer savegames are not in the Steam cloud. But that's another problem
