I've been playing a railworld map the last few days and I notice that now there are big sections of the world that are covered in water.
This makes for some cool possibilities involving using landfill for bridges, which is cool, but it got me thinking...
Would you guys consider adding boats?
You could have big robotic shipping barges / oil tankers that connect to docks lined with inserters or pumps.
You could also have a speedboat for the player to get around. Something like the Navy SEAL Swift boats.
Finally, if you added a bridges tile, the boats could pass under bridges, which could introduce some pretty cool possibilities as far as large layouts with islands.
Beyond that, if the bridges thing had much appeal, you might even consider the possibility of railway bridges. If those were allowed on land as well, that would make for other interesting possibilities as far as large rail layouts.
Love the game. I'm somewhere around 600-800 hours in now.
