I think everyone using experimental knows the risk, but doing manual backups of all your save files EVERYTIME there comes a new patch? That's kinda annoying looking at how fast you can churn those out
Therefore pls implement an auto backup function for save files either on experimental version change or when a stable save game is loaded into an experimental version.
Thank you very much.

Or just a prompt: "This version is experimental; would you like to backup your saves?" Additionally, perhaps an option to select which saves.
There are 10 types of people: those who get this joke and those who don't.

Re: Auto Backup Save Files for Experimental Versions
I don't get it.
As long as you don't save the game, the save game file remains in it's existing format, why do you need to back it up? (at least any differently than whatever, if any, your day to day backup is)
Just don't save over your important savegames. that's why some of mine have numbered saves that go beyond 60.
