Tiberian Sun style Mining

I know there was a mod that was like Command and Conquer for mining, where you would have a Ore Refinery with a Harvester
But its now abandoned and well doesn't work.

Would anyone be interested in doing something similar because I would really like an "automatic" way to gather minerals
Instead of putting miners, belt and inserters and cleaning minds and making new ones. I personally don't think its
overpowered because they would always seek new ore patch and get in troubles with biters if the patch are in enemy
territory and making it so it doesn't discriminate between ore would add some complexity as you're have to sort the ore
once it gets back. You'd also have to build each Harvester which would take a lot of resources like like cars or tanks.

I'd be very interested and I'm sure some other people would too.

If there is already a mod like this that is up to date or that work similarly. I'd like to know.

I think he's trying to say that the mod that he linked does something along the lines of what you're asking for.

I've not looked at it, but it does have the words "Miner" and "Vehicles" in the name, so I'd assume it has mining vehicles.

It does and they are fully programmable through circuit logic. So you can make them seek new ore fields or stick close to base. whatever you like.

The mod is really amazing, I can't play without it anymore. Although you must be prepared, that if you want automated miners, you will have to teach them automining with circuit network. If you are into it, it will give you another shitton of playtime, if not, well, than not.

I checked the mod and tutorial and I feel its really too complicated for no reason so I'd say its not quite what I'm looking for
When I'm requesting for a mode for Tiberian Sun like mining.

But I guess I'll try to use that mod for now... I just don't know how to use it much, the Video Tutorial is a bit too clumsy
for me to get any information from it that is useful.

Yeah but that mod is discontinued, it would be perfect if it was still being updated
