Sort mod browser by recent or current version downloads

Sorting the mod browser by all time downloads is a bit misleading; many popular mods from old versions are still near the top of the list despite not working well or not even being available for newer versions of the game. I would like to be able to sort by downloads this month or week, or by downloads of the latest version of the mod or by downloads of the mod for the latest version of Factorio.

This would be a very welcome feature. Currently it is extremely difficult to browse for popular mods.

Even more importantly I want to hide all mods that have not downloadable version. It's stupid to show mods that can't be installed in the general case.

While your point stands, I believe that the mod protal is being revamped in the .17 update. Unless the revamp was the current version, in which case try to email a developer or message a global moderator,as they can convey the message.

The mod portal had a significant update fairly recently. But no need to mail the devs or a moderator. The devs read the forums.

The OP was talking about the ingame mod browser, not the mod portal. Both standpoints make sense though.

How about no ? The forum is there for that. If you want new features in the mod portal, follow the white rabbit .

I wouldn't necasarilly say sort by version number, but FILTER by version number.
if you're playing 0.16, why would you even want to see 0.15 mods? and vica verca...

especially in the in game mod manager, it should do that by default, and even if a 0.16 version is available, only show the latest 0.15 version of it.
