No electricity at night - Stuck in "New hope" Level 02

Hi guys,

I'm stuck in the new hope level 02, just can't get no energy running at night.

I've connected the offshore pump to the boilers, the boilers to the steam engines and set up power poles. Yet at night there's no electricity being produced and
I get these red triangles with the black bolts.
I also got some things running at night that need electricity, so the steam engines should be running.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Looks like you connected the steam machines to the water instead of the steam output of the boiler.

I tried very hard to make sure I have everything right, but i still can't make power with stream engine. (and I googled a few hours as well).

i made sure there were underground pipe from pumps to boilers, then underground pipes from boilers to stream engines. also, all pipes (form streams) from boilers are connected.

please see my screenshot, and let me know where i did wrong. thanks!

The pump in the southern part is not connected, the northern part looks fine. You need to check the supply situation to see if you even need steam power right now or wait for the night.

i tried many times with same result (and yes, i waited at night, also, checked the power usage by clicking on the power pole (only solar has output, steam engine has none).

my understanding is water goes from left to right for the boilers, and i have checked boiler, all have a blue line for water. i have checked engine, it has steam icon showing 200, but the bar does not showing anything.

maybe it's all newbie issue (2nd day here), it's possible that the engine is not working because there is no load, once i put a drill for iron, and check power from the pole, i do have output now.

The energy UI definitely has a bit of a learning curve involved. Took me weeks to get it all straightened out. When in doubt mouse over the steam engine. If it has steam inside then it's good to go.
