Hello Directors
I'm haveing a slight issue i do not really understand.
I'm currently in a game with LOTS AND LOTS of biters/spawners (max or near max settings)
Therefore i need to expand via robots, to put out lasers etc.
But to my problem. When i put out a storage chest near a roboport, and then use a Deconstruct planner (red square thingy) to remove trees. But the robots insist on traveling to a chest far away, and not the newly popped empty one.
Any reasons?
Storage Chests...
Re: Storage Chests...
I'm not sure, but I think if there is a storage chest somewhere in the network already containing this type of item, the robots will prefer that chest.
I'd try putting some wood in the closer storage chests (as if "marking" this chest to contain wood)

Re: Storage Chests...
Guess you could always Brute Force it and just put down a requester Chest requesting lots of Wood, assuming you don't need that Wood anywhere else.

Last point in the list...
And the trick with putting the item into the chest doesn't work reliable.
The reliable way is: set a requester chest, require what you need, then exchange it with a provider/storage chest and built.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
