Does someone have any ore ideas and his propriety ? (i will add it in my new mod probably)

Unicorn ore. I do not know, how it could be userfull, but graphics can be awesome.
Seriously: what will be a point of new ores without production lines? Wrong position for start i think.

Helium ore? :lol:

Someone had an idea to make an ore which randomly outputs items like miners or assembly maschines.

Guys, thanks to all the suggestion and the participation. ;)

Now i'm working on a new, Big mod, that will add 24 new ores patches (like bob's mod, that adds 21 ores to the game) to expand a lot the normal game, and that is why the mod will be called: FactorioPlus.

I'm sorry that I can't tell you what ores i'm implementing, but someone could steal my ideas :twisted: .

If you want more informations, tell me here and i will response you.

actually, ending with ium as a naming converntion for metals, not ores, so... I dunno.

I've an idea:
-I'll call the ore "Randomium" (because is a raw ore) and the item "Randonium" (because is a crystal), don't i?

I'm working a lot with the textures for now, because some ores have similar textures and this become a bit difficult to distingue :? , but i will released the mod probably this week.

Ok, so the ore will be Randomite and the crystal Randonium ;)

Ah, I was forgetting about it :idea: , i will create an addon for make my ores compatible with Bob's ores, because i will create ores that are already implemented (not all): I'll add probably 5-6 ores that are already implemented with your mod Bob, but they'll be different from yours and i will use only my programs to implement they in the factorio world, because metals in real world aren't a lot, so, if i want to create a mod that expands factorio but that makes it a bit similar to real life, i'm forced to implement ores that were already done (and if I wanted to use your ores I would talk to you first, because i'd not like to steal works of other people :!: )

This community is very beautiful and helpful compared to others :D !

Most of the ores I use were based on ore items that existed in other mods at the time. in fact the first iteration of my ores mod was simply an addon for DyTech and FMod to make minable ore fields for items that were hard to get hold of.
These include... Tin, Lead, Silver, Gold, Tungsten and Zinc from DyTech, Bauxite and Rutile from FMod (Hence why those two don't follow the convention) Quartz, Nickel, Gems and Cobalt were entirely new for my mod, but I chose to keep the same naming convention as the ores I added for DyTech, and Sulfur is one that was floating around in another mod at the time too. I only added that by request.

Angels mod already disables some of the ores added by my mod, and uses Bobonium.


Anyway, send me a note, or add me on Skype or Telegram, or find me in the Factorio discord server... (Since Discord is crap and won't let you just search for someone by their name, but you can just send a message to anyone in a group you're in) and we can have a conversation about what you have in mind for interactivity between mods.

Programming updates:
Now i'm programming the raw ores and the ore's patches, so the mod will be released probably today or tomorrow. :!:
It will be useless for now, because these ores will haven't any use, but i will release a mod that converts them in plates, circuits ex., with they related technology's trees.

how about adding raritanium (from ratchet and clank) used to make mk2 or mk3 or mk4 level items a new machine is needed to use it..
the gadgetron vender the ore spawns in VERY small patchs containing 3 to 10 per ore tile and only having 2-3 per patch

"Monothylene" as fluid, it can be fuel, vaporized gas and ingredient for chemicals.
