[0.15.x][0.16.28][Linux] Game doesnt start [Solved]

Hi all,
everything was working fine (was running day before) untill I've moved it (move install folder) from HDD to SSD.
After that game not starting - I don't see loading screen.

I've tried installing from scratch (removed ~/.factorio folder), tried 0.16.28 and default one (opt ou of any beta on steam).

Any ideas how to fix it?

Solution:
That was Steam beta client program fault.
Opting out from beta makes game once again playable.

Does it work again if you move it back to HDD? Because this makes no sense to me – you moved it to a different storage device and it started crashing in the renderer…

No, it doesn't.

I'm assuming that moving game between folders shouldn't cause that issue. But that was only thing that i did to game files.
After that I've tried both versions. Tried to install them on HDD and SSD. Completly uninstalled and installed once again. No effect - not running.

Next I've do system update (mesa drivers, xorg) and tried once again: SSD, HDD, both versions (0.15, 0.16.28). Nothing. Game window is created and after 1-2 second is closed.

Did you make any other changes before it started crashing? Like changing your graphics drivers or changing some hardware?

No, Just wanted to move from HDD to SSD to speed up loading.

Few days before I've changed some graphic settings (textures size / texture compression if i remember corectly), but those was working fine - game started to load a little bit longer, and that is why i wanted to move it to SSD.

But still, as i understand those changes was cleared out by removing ~/.factorio. So basically i have clean version.

Hm, got kind of solution.

1. Go to https://www.factorio.com/download/experimental
2. Download
3. Run & play

Version downloaded from factorio page is working.
Tried to replace all steam files with those from tar.gz - still failing (worse than before, didn't had any windows)

Could it be your Steam installation that's broken, then?

Hm.

1. Opted out from steam beta program, installed factorio. Works fine.
2. Opted in to beta program, installed factorio. Doesnt work.

Looks like steam fault, and I should report bug at their forum.

Could be, although the crashes look different. Still, chances are good both are caused by Steam and not by Factorio.
