Game crashes every damn launch

I launch the game, which is being launched through Steam, but crashes upon launching giving me a generic error message. I am technically inept, so really have no idea what I am doing so please be gentle.

I have the same issue and everyone says Razer Synapse is the fault even in the logs there is something about Razer sdk. But I don't use Razer hardware or the software... Whats my issue?

There is an option in the 'Other' settings that enables support for Razer stuff.
Since you can't access the options from within the game, go to the Factorio directory in AppData (%AppData%\Factorio), go to the config folder there and open the config.ini.
In the config.ini, search for "enable-razer-chroma-support", remove the semicolon in front of that line and change the value to "false" after the equals sign.
Save the file and open the game.

I set the option to false but it still crashes. Is there a way to generate a clean config?

To reset the configuration, just delete that config.ini file. When you then launch the game, it'll create a new one.

If it then still crashes, please attach the crash log(s) for further investigation.

A new config does not get generated. Still crashes.

You do have RazerChromSDK64.dll present on your system. If you don't use Razer software, try to find Razer Synapse in "Add or Remove programs" and uninstall it.

I have no razer programs installed. Where would this .dll be located? And what about the config file not being generated? Nothing seems to be working

Nevermind... Now out of nowhere it seems to work fine. Game started normally.
