I have heard that a general transformation to high-definition graphics is going on for a while.
Is the character graphics going to be improved in the same way?
I am asking because the player character animation is something that I am looking at all the time.
And right now the character animation is pixelated on zooming in.

Re: Character Animation
It is in 0.16, see FFF 218. Are you using 0.16 and have sprite resolution set to high?

Yes I do.
I looked closely and noticed that the size of pixels is the same for the character and for new HD machinery, so they are of the same resolution.
The problem is that on the character the pixilation is much more visible due to small high-contrast details.
Is there a way to have the character animation in higher resolution than everything else?
Re: Character Animation
Not at the moment - I'm not sure if that's something that's planned. It is quite a bit better than in 0.15 though - compare this to this.voddan wrote:Jap2.0 wrote:It is in 0.16, see FFF 218. Are you using 0.16 and have sprite resolution set to high?

Hm, those 0.16 screens look nicer than my game IRL.
My settings are on "High".
Is there something that could affect rendering on Windows?

Re: Character Animation
True, that doesn't look as good as the images there. I'll look at the player models tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Character Animation
Okay, I did a little comparison:
I'm not sure if they're the same resolution or not. The version from the FFF seems to look better, but it is zoomed in less. Trying to make the models the same size (in editing) was inconclusive. For a better pixelated views, here's an upscaled version:
(Full resolution, for most pixelated comparison)
Overall, I think they're fairly similar - I'm guessing the difference comes from the size difference between the picture and fully zoomed in in-game. Although I had to zoom in quite a lot for the quality to drop (more than I regularly do while I'm playing), anyone with a better monitor might see that sooner.
