Made a mod that allows to configure staggering timing. Set start and end brightness to the same value to turn all lamps on/off at the same time.Klonan wrote:It won't be a game option, but someone can easily mod it so they all turn on at onceKoblerMan wrote:Well, personally I like the lamp staggering, but maybe since not everyone does it should be a game option?

Re: Friday Facts #229 - Taiwan report & Lamp staggering
as part of the light staggering discussion, is there a way we can add something to allow me to leave my night vision on all the time?
the harsh change of night vision turning off before its brighter out than the light provides is very noticable.

It can be modded. The mod would only have to change the darkness_to_turn_on property (just added in the 0.16.23 update) of the night vision prototype.HurkWurk wrote:as part of the light staggering discussion, is there a way we can add something to allow me to leave my night vision on all the time?

I'll look into that later, thanks.
also an option would be integrating the "power pole + light" mod, so that power poles have lights built in (lamps using space is a killer for me)

Why should i integrate it. If it is using lamp prototypes, it should already be affected by my mod. Just use them together.HurkWurk wrote:I'll look into that later, thanks.

Edit: Just tested it with Lighted Electric Poles + - works fine.

Wow, I've always thought lamp timing depended on position in the map.
While fascinated by the trick I am a bit disappointed.
