A service asks for my service token, is it safe to give it?

A service that offers dedicated servers for free (and some with more slots for money) asks me for my service token.
Is it safe to give away or is this a red flag?

token is needed when hosting an authentication enabled server. so the need for it is there.
but, whether it's safe to give them depends on who is providing the service.

BTW you can now 'invalidate' your token on your profile.
