Goal: Increase exploration and advanced base building
Method: As you get farther out from the base the number of resource locations on the map get fewer and fewer but the size of them get larger and denser. Once you reach a certain threshold they don't get sparser or larger (max size essentially)
Second portion of this: Incease the density and aggressiveness of biters the farther out you go from the spawn location making it harder to hold these remote bases.
The current setting could affect how close to the main location and size of the remote resources.
I believe this would increase the amount of space that people need to explore and increases the dynamics in the game. Really push the logistics aspect of the game.

Very cool. As soon as v0.10 is more or less stable I will give that a try. And some other mods, which don't change too much on the base-game.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
