Just how it sounds, it would be the next tier power supply for your armor/exoskeleton. Perhaps smaller and more powerful than the "portable fusion reactor" but you need to carry uranium fuel cells in your inventory to power it.

A nuclear fusion reactor should be more powerful than a nuclear fission reactor (which is normally meant by "nuclear reactor"), not vice versa. Nuclear fusion is the more advanced technology and is, at least theoretically, much more powerful than nuclear fission.
It does not make sense that, currently, in Factorio, the player's base gets the less advanced nuclear fission reactor, whereas the player himself gets the more advanced nuclear fusion reactor in his power armor. Therefore, I am in favor of this being changed somehow.
