[kovarex] [0.16.11] Campaign New Hope, level 4, can't research

Hello everyone,

I am not sure if this is a bug, or I am simply missing something. This is the first time I am playing the New Hope level 4.

I am trying to complete the level, but, for some reason, Advanced Circuits are unavailable for research:

I am using steam latest beta. I started the campaign in version 0.16.9. Later I closed the game and steam auto-updated. I read somewhere in this forum there was a bug when such upgrade would happen, related to fluids, but I believe it had been fixed in version 0.13.

The current objective states "Make enough plastics and build the plane". I have built "enough plastics" (300), but I can't build red circuits.

I attached the save file, maybe someone can help me figure it out.

Confirmed I have the same issue in 0.16.12 beta. My friend got me to switch to beta to play on his server, and now I'm bummed.

My brother is also playing the same campaign as me, on my PC.

He started the level 4 today, on 0.16.11. He is now in the process of researching Advanced Circuits. This points me towards the bug happening due to the fact that the game had been started and saved with a previous version (0.16.9), then closed, then upgraded (to 0.16.11), then loaded.

I can understand that it is not a "normal" scenario, and that I can simply start level 4 again.. but still, it feels that this shouldn't happen.

Do I have any way to unlock the research, without running the command to do all the researches?

Hello, it is a bug of save migration indeed. It is fixed for the next version (0.16.14)

Today (04/01/2018), version 0.16.13 came out, and in the release notes it is mentioned (with no link to this post):

Added yet another migration fixing invalid state created between 0.16.8 and 0.16.11.

I just started 0.16.13, loaded the game and the issue remains (in that save file, I can't research advanced circuits), so, either:

• This is only fixed in 0.16.14 and I tested it too early;
  -or-
• Even if this gets fixed, I will not be able to "recover" my save, and I will need to start the level again;

Do you know if the fix will be able to recover my savegame?
