16.7+RSOv3.5.0 Cannot select research...properly (UI scale?)

Hello,
So, this is an odd one. It took me a while to realize this had been happening due to the game and not my hardware, but it started right after I finished researching artillery and selected kovarex to be my next research. Basically, if I open the research tab, I can't select a research by clicking on the tabs to the left. I figure it is some sort of click-box sizing issue, because I can change research by clicking on the tree display on the right, and selecting research through there. Also, if I click on the research tree, sometimes the research tabs on the left become clickable, but only for one or two times, before they revert to being un-clickable again.

I'm using Factorio 16.7, and the only active mod is RSO v3.5.0

Edit: Bug followed me through a fresh reinstall.

And the bug will dissapear if you remove RSO?
Please also post the log file.

I can load the save file and manipulate reasearch without issues.

Still happens with RSO off. And happens on all my other save files as well.

EDIT: I've narrowed it down somewhat more: I am unable to select a research when scrolled to the top of the research selection screen. If I am not scrolled to the very top, then I am able to select research normally.

EDIT2: I've narrowed it down *even more*: I recently reset my UI scale (Options>Interface) to "custom 100%" so I could see my logistic system stats on my laptop screen, and unchecked the "system default 125%" box. When I went back to the 125% scale UI, this bug went away. when I switched back to 100% scale, it came back.

Are you in fullscreen mode or maximized window?

Sounds like the same thing, is there a way to combine the threads?
