[0.16] Concrete/Brick Misaligned with rails
[0.16] Concrete/Brick Misaligned with rails
Rails looks are not centered on tiles, causing to look wierd now
Should be gaps b/w the top and bottom, but only gap one top, but not at the bottom of the rail.

Thanks for the report however nothing about what you describe is a bug.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [0.16] Concrete/Brick Misaligned with rails
So are the rails meant to be misaligned with the tiles? Doesn't seem right?
Re: [0.16] Concrete/Brick Misaligned with rails
The rails have nothing to do with the tiles. They simply exist in the world and are completely independent from the tiles.DDDGamer wrote:So are the rails meant to be misaligned with the tiles? Doesn't seem right?

Now this is deep.Rseding91 wrote:The rails have nothing to do with the tiles. They simply exist in the world and are completely independent from the tiles.DDDGamer wrote:So are the rails meant to be misaligned with the tiles? Doesn't seem right?

Re: [0.16] Concrete/Brick Misaligned with rails
The thing is that the rails themselves (the metal pieces) are actually aligned to the center, but the perspective shows the bottom more obviously. Theoretically we could add something but it would make them lot less plastic, and it would be quite a bit of work.
It’s one of the typical examples of the square tiles vs. 45deg perspective.

O.o deep indeed "They simply exist in the world" ..... existence .... is this all a simulation, do we simply exist too... who am iiiiiiii?
Thanks, for the clarification V!

This is something that has been bothering me for a while.V453000 wrote:It’s one of the typical examples of the square tiles vs. 45deg perspective.
If the perspective is supposed to be 45deg, then that implies that the northern bank of the ballast has slope at greater than 45deg (extremely steep btw), as you are unable to see any of it to the north of the rails. The ballast below the rails (not under, but south) does not look like it has anywhere near a 45deg slope, especially when compared to the buffer stops.
So, Either the rails built up by a small amount, making the buffer stops look correct OR the rails are built up by a large amount, thereby making the buffer stops look incorrect.
Additionally, the ballast looks like it barely touches the ends of the sleepers on the northern side of the rails (they may even jut out a bit), while on the southern there seems to be at least a small amount of support.
