I mentioned this on the wiki part of the forum viewtopic.php?f=50&t=44339
Should the mod creators be given a fandom wiki page to post updates, news and obviously: how to use their mod.
Could be quite useful for newbie mod users or just people who want something better than the mod portal.
It could even replace the mod portal if it was successful enough.

I really don't see how Github is relevant to a mod information database, when compared to something like a Wiki...
Over on bob's mods, we've actually been discussing this very idea though, a second official wiki designed for Mod information.

GitHub is for code.
GitHub Wiki is for documentation. GitHub gives every project its own wiki.

Still, it would require adding my mods to github, which I'd rather not do.
