2. Anything can degrade if it gets hit by an alien, or your car/tank.
The only things that have any sort of degradation are axes, armors, ammo, repair packs, and science packs. All but the last two are used by the player (or in the case of certain ammos, by Gun turrets as well as the player). The last two are used to repair things and to do science research (they get used up in the process). Axes and armors wear out from use (axes from mining and picking up placed buildings; armor wears from taking health damage).dognosh wrote:CheersDaveMcW wrote:1. Radars

What I meant was degradation, not destruction.
Do assets degrade in this game ?
Placed items will not degrade without direct actions of the player (mining / picking up / crashing with car or tank / hitting with weapon) or aliens (during attacks).dognosh wrote:CheersDaveMcW wrote:1. Radars

Are you sure? I thought I heard they attacked trees.torne wrote:Yeah, they appear to attack things that are making their pathfinding difficult. If you put power poles or other things in forests without clearing the trees, it seems like they're more likely to attack it as the trees are also restricting their pathing (they never attack trees) - I've definitely had this happen, but have rarely/never seen them attack poles or other similar things that are surrounded by open space.
They do, in the past they did even attack spawners.Jap2.0 wrote:Are you sure?
