Just wanted to say thanks for the great savegame management.
We've had an absolutely dreadful virus outbreak in the office PCs and we've tweaked the virus checker up to "LSD and amphetamines" levels of paranoia. As a result, during my lunch break gaming, Factorio is allowed to create its save files, but not to rename them from .tmp, nor to delete the file that's being replaced by the updated savefile when autosaving.
When I got home and retrieved my saves from the Steam cloud, the _autosaveX.tmp files were all there and playing for a while automatically deleted them correctly, leaving me with my usual number of autosave slots.
My thanks to the devs for putting in a savegame system that works so nicely despite the interference of our frothing, crazy-eyed virus checker.
Well done, whoever's in charge of the save code
