[0.15.31]Rockets look like they bump each other

Post by London_ »

I'm fairly certain this is just the graphic of the rocket fired first going from in front of the second rocket to behind it, but it looks almost like the faster rocket bumps into the slower one giving it a boost and slowing itself down.

I would expect that the rockets stay on the same side of an object instead of switching once they are at a higher/lower height than the other rocket.

Snerk.

Same issue as with those mods that add flying vehicles. There is no such thing as height, objects are just moved upwards, and things lower are rendered first. Works fine for a 2d plane which is isometric, not so well if you try to add a Z axis.
My Mods:
Modular Armor Revamp - V16
Large Chests - V16
Agent Orange - V16
Flare - V16
Easy Refineries - V16

Well, it is implication of the trick we use to move the entity up, so it affects entity layer sorting.
The fix would be far from simple, so I would keep it like this.

I highly approve. Using multiple rockets like a Newton's cradle to demonstrate momentum transfer sounds like a great idea. I think NASA or ESA should test this :)
