I think you should check if you're really hardware limited to 32 bits : If your computer is less than 10 years old, chances are your hardware supports 64 bits, and the only thing you'd have to do is upgrade your operating system from 32bits to 64 bits version. That would save you from buying a new machine.

My atom netbook is less than 10 years old, and it is not 64 bit

Re: patch 15.33 windows 32-bit
That's why I said "chances are" and not "I guarantee you on my very soul"
. From my experience, there are a lot more people with a 64 bit hardware and a 32 bit os than people hardware limited to 32 bits. At least from what I can see.

Good call, my pc is actually capable of running 64 bit (according to itself anyway). Now just to figure out how upgrade it

Are you sure about that? My 7 year old atom netbook (Atom N450) came with 2 GB RAM and Windows 32-bit pre-installed, and for the longest time I assumed it was 32-bit only. That was until I installed Linux on it and by mistake used an amd64 image to do so. Only after the installation did I realize that it is running on 64-bit.d3x0r wrote:My atom netbook is less than 10 years old, and it is not 64 bit
This is not to say that a 7 year old atom is good for playing Factorio, it is not. On low graphics settings it gets around ~20 FPS (but 60 UPS) on a fresh map. But if you don't have a megabase and don't care much about framerate it is possible to play on it.

Yes I'm sure, I searched and searched because even at the time there were 64bit atoms but not mine.daniel34 wrote:Are you sure about that? Ya FPS is very bad, and do not zoom out very far
