Game Won't Start

Every time I run the game I get a blank screen that eventually tells me that Factorio is not responding and then the game crashes. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and don't know what else to try.

What does your log say?

(%appdata%/factorio/factorio-current.log on windows).
