Porting Items/Resources into a New World

Post by mazar83 »

Hi,

I was wondering, is there a way to start a new game with all the items/resources from a previous save?

Thanks!
Mark

-------------------------------------

BACKGROUND

I started a thread called "CORRUPTION :(" on "Board index ‹ Support ‹ Bug Reports ‹ Resolved Problems and Bugs."

I can load the save under certain circumstances, but some things cause the game to freeze/crash. Furthermore, the problematic area is right in a place that I want to expand my base.

I'm not certain but I think the save might be unrecoverable...

I want to start on a new 0.15.x world with a mods list that I have already tested and I know works.

Sounds like Anno. I remember I used to play on an older save and load up my ark with useful starting materials. Then when playing a new game, have a head start.

The way factorio is designed right now, I don't see that being a possibility. You would need to store information independent of a savegame, and factorio's nature doesn't really allow for that...

Thanks for the feedback. It seems I no longer need this type of things because Posila fixed my save. Awesome!
