Hello,
I don't know if this is considered a bug, but since everything else works this way I'll post it here.
If you have a personal roboport you can let the robots build via holding the Shift key and then clicking the build mouse button (in my case right click).
This is nice if there are trees/rocks in the way because the robots will clear them first.
But this doesn't work while building rails. With single rails it does, but not with whole chunks of rails.
It does work with the rail planner, but for that I have to hold shift while starting to build the rails, not when finally placing them.
Also the rail planner can be somewhat cumbersome if you want to exactly define where the rails should be.
Screenshot attached, where IMHO shift + build should let the robots build it.
Thank you!

Re: Shift build rails with robots
Thanks for the report however this is working as intended.
Rail building requires you start by holding shift if you want to build ghosts. If you start without holding shift you can't switch to building ghosts unless you cancel and re-start the rail building.
If you ghost-build holding shift will deconstruct trees/rocks in the way while building the ghosts.

If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Re: Shift build rails with robots
I see, thank you!
Maybe you can move it to feature requests then?
