Suggestion:
Alert Similar to 'object destroyed' is sent, if a train has been attempting to reach its destination without progress for a certain amount of time (including reading chain signal if applicable) - or whatever option is best based on how it's coded.
Reasoning:
Biffing a portion of track or failing to update areas based on increased throughput or train length can easily result in massive train backups - would be nice to get a warning before your entire machination comes to a grinding halt.
I expect this has been suggested before but I was unable to find it when I searched for it.

There is a mod called FAT Controller which adresses the complexity of monitoring multiple trains. It also has a feature to send you reports if a train is stalled for some time on a signal or no-path.
