Train Routing Failure

Post by d3x0r »

I built a train in such a way that it cannot find a path to get to where it's going. I can manually drive the train there, without a lot of effort there really IS a path. But it can't even find its way to southbound tracks immediately out of the base. I even simplified its path a lot and it was still stuck.

From 'Fe Plate Main' to 'Fe Plate'
I had added a 'FEP Rt0' which is a station closer to main and it cannot even get there.

This is a save called 'NoPath' at the time I finally gave up trying to coax it to work....

I had another stop along the west branch just after the FEP Rt0 called FEP Rt1 but that didn't help... I even tried to add a stop like just after the loop at main it it couldn't even get there; I guess I had cleaned up those extras before this point though.

This is an earlier version of the loop I had... just before this I didn't have the south-east path from the topmost circle route, and it was having problems, so I added a direct path from that loop back to the loop before the main; it didn't help; so as above, I removed the second loop entirely and just brought it back.

The other tain on the east-most stop has no problems getting in and out - but it's main route goes to the south from the T junction...

Closer view of more simplied path.. (same as NoPath save point...)

There is at least one signal on the wrong side of the track.

The signals are leftover from when I ended in a loop that just came back.
While it is true that removing one signal allowed it to path...

The other train path comes back along that, and I would think should have a signal there.

(restored loop and started other train on its path... it's going towards that signal....
