cant get pass main menu 0.15.18

I am trying to use the latest release of factorio, 0.15.18, and when it loads it gives me a pop up about how this is an unstable version, and it won't update automatically, and when I click on the button to close it, nothing happens, any way to fix this?

More informations would be helpful :
What version are you playing with (Steam ? from Factorio website, ...), what Operating System, ...
Also can we have a logfile ? it usually helps a lot.

Workaround: opting in to 0.15.x (last entry in the dropdown) instead of 0.15.18 will not show this notice.
