[0.15.13] Deconstruction Planner Outside of Radar Coverage

Post by ranhothchord »

You can mark entities (and I assume tiles as well) for deconstruction via the zoomed map even if you don't have radar coverage of the area - as long as you start the area selection in a place you can see.

Expected behavior: Only entities that are within radar coverage (or near other players) would be marked for deconstruction. Also f possible, entities in "fog of war" wouldn't be listed in the selection 'summary' next to the cursor as you select the hidden area either.

p.s. i don't have any experience on these forums, so i apologize if formatting or something is bad. i tried doing a search for this issue and didn't see it, so hopefully it's not a duplicate :)

I've used this before to mark trees/rocks to deconstruct which were in the way of my newly planned railway so that they would be automatically deconstructed when I arrive there with my construction robots, I hope this is a feature and not a bug.

Although I can see how this would be exploitable in a PvP game to detect enemy turrets without actually seeing them.

Is making them force-only (+neutral for trees/rocks) if it's out of visible range an option?
