What is the "X" for in chests??

Use it to put a limit on the stack sizes inside the chest. Useful for when you just want, say, one stack of iron plates instead of 20.

It allows you to restrict how many slots are used in a chest. If you click on the 'X' you can hover your cursor over the chest and see the slots turn red. If you click again those red slots will become unavailable for inserters/logistic bots.
