Reduced frame rate in desert areas

When I opened up my save in 0.15.11, the message popped up that red-desert content had been migrated. Now when I am in desert areas I get a fps drop. Not game breaking as it occurs when I'm fully zoomed out and it only drops to 45 fps (my UPS stays the same). Anyways, thought it might be a small thing to look into. Thanks.

However in order to be able to diagnose the problem, I need Factorio log (on Windows located usually in %APPDATA%\Factorio\factorio-current.log) and the save you saw the issue on.
