I don't know when, but somewhen Factorio introduced a "toggle-fullscreen" hotkey alt-Enter.
In some situations the game just switches from fullscreen mode to windowed mode.
This happens sometimes after switching in and out of factorio using alt-tab and then confirming the MP-password or any occurence where enter is pressed.
I don't know whether the game forgot that i released the alt key already or one of my fingers is too heavy for the key, but the game then looks like it crashed (no window for 3-5s) and then toggles to windowed mode.
Could you add an option to disable the hotkey or to change it in the settings dialog to something i won't touch like F11 (like browsers).

Unfortunately not.
The only thing that i can say about it that it is more likely to be triggered (1-5%) if i alt-tab out of the game during the initial loading screen (maybe during the graphics and sound loading(+high cpu load?)).
And then if i press enter for the first time somewhere in the game.
It happens really seldom/rarely. But it disturbes me a lot thats why i suggested to alter the hotkey. (I know unreproducible bugs are hard to fix)
I only experienced in the early 0.15 versions but i'm not sure whether this is due to fixing the issue or my increased awareness of this disturbing behaviour and thus rarely tabbing out of the game anymore.

In one of my last weeks multiplayer games a friend of mine expieriended something similar (but different).
The character continued walking in one direction after releasing the key, but was able to stop by pressing the same key again. He almost died because of a train and we discussed whether the character was suicidal. It was quite funny, that why i remember. But it was our first and only encouter with such behaviour so treated it as a random glitch.
(Although i vagely remember that in one of arumba's? (The guy who introduced the first factorio MMO sessions) youtube videos he mentioned a similar behaviour. It might be that one where you joined as well or the one before that.)
