Place down a new station. Add the new station to a train (waiting condition doesn't seem to matter). When then clicking the <Go to station> button, the game instantly desyncs. Upon reentering the server, the new train station has a different name, but works just fine.

This is most likely caused by custom edits of core/backers.json, which would cause you to get different station names.
I was able to reproduce desyncs based on different value of this file. To avoid problems like this, the content of the file is included in the core checksum so it is properly detected that the core is different when joining a game.
