[15.X] Copy-paste filter into power pole disconnects power

Post by Kegger »

Hi there,

I was running around with the new copy-paste functionality (Shift+RMB to copy, Shift+LMB to paste). Now you can hold the paste option, which is what happened when I encountered the following bug:
1 Copied filter from (purple) filter inserter
2 Pasted filter onto the nearest power pole which was at that time powering said filter inserter
3 Upon pasting the filter, the power pole 'disconnected', as in, did not supply power to the filter inserter nor transfered power to subsequent power poles

AFAIK, this is a bug but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :) I made an account just to report this phenomenon.
Cheers!

observations:
1 The filter was Uranium 235, but after some testing I came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter which filter you take, nor from which structure
2 The type of power pole did not matter
3 The power pole couldn't be 'reconnected' to the other power poles, so I had to demolish + rebuild the power pole

The input you use to paste the filter is the same to disconnect wires from poles, you can change either to prevent you from doing it accidentally, but it is not a bug.
You can reconnect the pole using copper wire.

Cool, thanks!

(I really should look into using the circuit network, I never use it...)
