[15.8] crash hovering mouse over train

The game crashes if I hover the mouse over the train. It happens all the time from the provided autosave file.
Starting from the autosave file, the tip dialog shows up. I close that one clicking the close button. Then the rail signal rename dialog is active. I press the ESC key to close it. Then I move the character to the south. The green train is waiting there. Have the mouse placed over the grass. Enter the train by pressing Enter key. You can see the rail signal blinking. Once the mouse is moved over the train, the rail signal stops blinking and a few seconds later the crash dialog appears.
Before it worked to get a crash by just hovering over the train without entering it. Now it seems to work only if entering the train first.
I am not using any mods.
